The leather strop is an accessory that allows you to thoroughly polish the blade after sharpening.The handcrafted 3mm thick vegetable tanned cowhide strapallows you to attach the leather to a wood, MDF, or acrylic base of your choice using the supplied 3M adhesive tape, or simply use it on its own. Both sides of the leather, smooth and rough, can be used as you prefer.
The polishing kit, which includes a set of four polishing pastes and a beeswax balm, is a handy kit for the final stage of sharpening.
The leather allows toprecisely polish the cutting edge and obtain the maximum sharpness of the blade.The use of polishing paste enhances the polishing effect, giving the blade a mirror-like smoothness and high gloss, as well as preventing discolouration and rusting. Polishing the blade removes all the scratches and burrs created during sharpening.

What's in the DIY kit?
The DIY kit contains the highest quality3mm thick leather, 3M adhesive tape, a set of four different graded polishing pastes and a softening balm.
The honing compounds have been specially developed for use on leather strops. They are soft and easy to use. The lanolin and beeswax contained in the paste soften and nourish the leather, allowing you to achieve excellent polishing results.
